My name is Simone. I live with my husband and our 3 girls (15, 17 and 20 years) in our detached family house with large garden and apartment in the village of Kollig. The apartment is located in a very quiet location on the outskirts of the village, about 200 m from the beautiful forest of Elztal, but only about 3.5 km from the A 48 motorway. The beautiful terrace has a real natural stone wall and invites you to relax with high-quality rattan / wood furniture. Seasonally (limited usability) two exclusive Rattan sun loungers and a large umbrella are available. In August 2022 we converted our separate apartment on the ground floor our house into an attractive, comfortable and high-quality vacation apartment. We look forward to welcoming you personally in our apartment „Elztalidyll“ if possible.

From the apartment you have a direct access to the most beautiful and award-winning hiking trail in Germany (Pyrmonter Felsensteig, with the Pyrmonter Waterfall, the Pyrmont Castle and the Pyrmonter Mill, chosen in 2015).

In the village there is a restaurant (open Tuesday to Sunday) and a farm shop with butcher’s shop (open on Thursday – Saturday), a village shop with bakery is in the neighboring village of Mertloch. Supermarkets can be found within a radius of 6 – 10 km.

Our modern apartment is located in the middle of a beautiful hiking and excursion region in the Eifel between Trier and Koblenz, Cologne and Frankfurt and the Nürburgring. Excursion destinations in the vicinity: - Eltz Castle (one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and a beautiful hiking rail around the castle), - Lake Laach with the impressive monastery Maria Laach, - the UNESCO World Heritage Region Upper Middle Rhine Valley with the Loreley Rock, - the many castles and palaces of the Rhine and Moselle, - the idyllic villages of the Moselle (e.g. Cochem with Cochem Reichsburg), - the Eifel-Maare, - the Deutsche Eck in Koblenz with the cable car to the fortress Ehrenbreitstein, - the idyllic half-timbered village of Monreal, -the volcano park Mendig, Mayen, Plaidt with different volcano park stations, - the world’s tallest cold water geyser in Andernach, - one of the longest suspension rope bridges in Germany in the Hunsrück, - the many beautiful and award-winning hiking trails and via ferrata.     Our lovingly furnished non-smoking vacation apartment is located in a quiet street in the immediate vicinity of the cycle path and offers space for 2 people. Fully equipped kitchen, with small dining table and fully automatic coffee machine. Living/bedroom with sitting area, reading corner and dining area. The apartment has an exit to the idyllic inner courtyard with terrace and barbecue area. Ideal starting point for excursions to the dream trails, Eltz Castle, Moselle, Rhine and the Nürburgring. Our small village Mertloch has about 1400 inhabitants. Good traffic connection, three kilometers to the freeway connection A48. Shopping facilities nearby. Parking directly in front of the house. Motorcycles/bicycles can be stored in the garage, pets are not allowed. Price per night: 1 person: 61 Euro, 2 persons: 69 Euro.

    Spend the night in Tiny House Druidenstein The feel-good caravan is located on the edge of the village on a hill with a terraced view over the fields of the Maifeld. In the middle of the hiking trail between Pyrmont Castle and the world-famous Eltz Castle. On 30 m² of living space you will find everything you need to feel at home. Depending on your needs, you can heat with a fireplace or air conditioning. The caravan is surrounded by a seating area, sunbathing area and sun terrace with garden furniture. The caravan is a non-smoking caravan and out of consideration for other guests, the caravan should remain pet hair free. There are supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries etc. in Münstermaifeld (3 km). In an emergency, the naturopathic practice is right next door. Pyrmont Castle is 1.7 km away. At the foot of its hill is the Pyrmont Mill, where you can stop for a bite to eat on the mill terrace with a view of the beautiful waterfall on beautiful summer days. One of the most famous castles is Eltz Castle. It can be reached on foot in around two hours (5.3 km). It is a hilltop castle from the 12th century and is probably the most famous of its kind. It is definitely worth a visit. A tour is possible and definitely worth a visit. There are also several dream trails in the immediate vicinity. These include the Eltzer Burgpanorama Weg, the Nette Schieferpfad and many others in the Eifel and also around and in the beautiful Moselle valley. Hikers and cyclists will find the ideal starting point for many interesting tours here.

    The rooms on the first floor are generously proportioned.The high-quality kitchen with open-plan living and dining area offers you plenty of space for relaxing and socializing. We have equipped this floor for you with high-quality kitchen appliances such as an oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a large TV for you to use.The bathroom has a toilet and shower.You can have breakfast on the balcony, which is furnished with comfortable balcony furniture. From the balcony it is only a short walk to the kitchen.On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed and a bathroom with bathtub. From two of the double rooms you have access to a balcony with a breathtaking view over the Vordereifel. For the winter months we provide you with firewood free of charge, you are welcome to spend your evenings in front of the burning fireplace.The house is equipped with air conditioning for hot summer days.A baby crib can be provided in one of the spacious bedrooms.
