If you hike the "Pyrmonter Felsensteig" dream path, you will reach the highest point of the hike on the Sammetzkopf. The summit cross is visible from afar and is illuminated in the dark. The view from the Sammetzkopf over to Münstermaifeld with its imposing collegiate church and the volcanoes of the Eastern Eifel is also wide.

The 900-year-old Romanesque church tower is the oldest building and at the same time the unmistakable symbol of the city Münstermaifeld.

Explore Münstermaifeld on your own: The city tour starts at the tourist information office in the rose garden at the old provostry. From here, the map leads through the abbey district and past houses worth seeing

The provosts lived from around 1100 until the looting by the French around 1800 in private houses around the church. Many canon houses from the 18th century can still be seen today in the former cathedral precinct (Herrenstraße, Stiftsstraße, Hammgasse, Münsterplatz).
